Project Members
Project members are users who have access to a specific project. Managing members lets you control who can view and edit documents within that project.
Inviting members
- Open the project and navigate to its member settings.
- Enter the email address of the person you want to invite.
- Click Invite. The person receives an email with a link to join.
Once accepted, the member has access to this project. Workspace membership and project membership are separate, so non-owner members need explicit project membership to access other projects in the same workspace.
Roles
Each member has a role, owner, editor, or viewer, that determines what they can do with the project's documents. You can change a member's role at any time from the member list.
- Owner can edit, create, import, move, and delete documents.
- Editor can edit, create, and move documents, but can't delete them.
- Viewer has view-only access and can't edit, create, move, or delete documents.
Managing the member list itself, inviting, removing, or changing roles, is governed by the requester's workspace role rather than their project role.
Removing members
From the member list, select the member you want to remove and confirm. They will lose access to the project immediately.
Project vs. Workspace members
Project membership controls which projects non-owner members can access. Being a workspace member does not automatically grant access to every project. Add or invite non-owner members to each project they should access. The workspace owner can access all projects in the workspace.
