Deleting Your Account

You can permanently delete your Zelares account from your profile page. This action is irreversible, so review the requirements and consequences below before proceeding.

Requirements

Before you can submit a deletion request, you must meet all of the following conditions:

  • No project membership or ownership- Leave all projects you belong to. If you own a project with other members, promote another member to Project Owner first. If you're the only user on a project, delete the project entirely.
  • No workspace membership or ownership- Leave all workspaces you belong to. If you own a workspace with other members, promote another member to Workspace Owner first. If you're the only user in a workspace, delete the workspace entirely.
  • No outstanding invoice balances - Make sure any active or pending invoices are paid in full.

What you must acknowledge

Before you can confirm deletion, you'll be asked to check off the following statements:

  • Immediate loss of access- You'll instantly lose access to your live editor, workspace environments, and all settings as soon as you submit the request.
  • The request can't be undone - Once your account is marked for deletion, Zelares permanently deactivates it and wipes your configuration. This cannot be reversed.
  • All data is permanently erased - This includes your profile, workspaces, projects, markdown files, directory folders, and custom live-preview editor data.
  • Identity verification is required- On the next screen, you'll be prompted for multi-factor authentication (MFA) if it's enabled, or sent a security verification link by email.

How to delete your account

  1. Go to your profile page and select Delete Account.
  2. Confirm you meet all requirements listed above.
  3. Check all four acknowledgement boxes.
  4. Select Confirm Account Deletion.
  5. Complete identity verification when prompted.

If you change your mind, select Cancel to return to your profile without submitting a request.
