Introduction

This product is a collaborative writing platform built around three core concepts: Workspaces, Projects, and the Editor. Together they give you a structured way to organize, write, and share documents with your team.

How it fits together

A Workspace is the top-level container. It groups related work together and controls who has access at the highest level. Inside a workspace, you create one or more Projects. Each project holds its own set of documents, called nodes, and has its own member list. The Editor is where you actually write and edit those documents, with support for Markdown, diagrams, tables, and real-time collaboration.

Think of it as: a workspace is the building, a project is a room in that building, and the editor is the desk where you sit down to write.

Where to start

If you are brand new, the Quick Start guide walks you through creating your first workspace and project. You can also visit Account to manage your profile, preferences, security settings, and API tokens. After that, explore the sections on Workspaces, Projects, and the Editor to learn each part in depth.

Key features

  • Real-time collaboration - multiple people can edit the same document at the same time.
  • Markdown editing - write in plain text with formatting, rendered live as you type.
  • Mermaid diagrams - create flowcharts, sequence diagrams, and more directly in your documents.
